Today’s golf course was located in Connecticut about 14 miles from the Johnson’s home, so we left about 10:00AM for our 10:40AM tee time. Elmridge has three nine hole courses that are played in three eighteen-hole combinations. We played the Red/White combination. The Red nine was easier than the White nine, so both of us thought we were going to have really good scores after finishing the Red nine; however, we had trouble putting the greens on the White nine and we finished with about the same results as our previous rounds. Jim shot 91 (yardage = 5962) and Pat shot 113 (yardage = 5380).
The greens are undulating and vary in size. The fairways are unique because they are wide open for a few holes, then become narrow and then go back to wide open. The course was in good shape and we enjoyed playing it.
We would like to thank the staff at Elmridge for their hospitality during our short visit to their golf coursel
Tonight is the last night we will be spending with Joan and Arnie. We really have enjoyed our stay with them, and we thank them for their wonderful hospitality. They are special friends who made us feel very welcome during our stay. Thank you, Joan and Arnie.
We are now done with New England and tomorrow we head for New Jersey, Pennsylvania and points south
