The temperature got down to the low 60’s last night in the Pocono’s, which was wonderful for sleeping. We had a leisurely breakfast, then headed out to the golf course, only a mile from Dick and Wendy’s home to the proshop. At the pro shop we met Greg Wall, the Pocono Manor PGA Golf Professional. We teed off on the first hole of the East Course about 11:00AM. The day was beautiful and the golf very enjoyable. The greens are small so we had to be accurate to stay on the putting surface with our approach shots. Jim shot an 83 (yardage 6304) and Pat shot 110 (yardage 5977). It was a very long golf course for Pat, however Wendy hits a very long ball, so the course is not intimidating for her. Dick had a very good round, shooting a 79. We would like to thank Greg Wall for inviting us to play as his guests. His generosity in “comping” us for the greens fees and cart is greatly appreciated. Everyone at the golf course was most pleasant and wished us good luck in our venture. After showering and resting up a bit from our round of golf, the four of us will be going out to dinner at a local restaurant. We want to thank Wendy and Dick for their wonderful hospitality. It was also special that they could join us for our 19th round of golf today, and we really enjoyed playing with them. Tomorrow we will be leaving to play at Delcastle Golf Course in Wilmington Delaware.
