After breakfast with the Triaus we drove to Bethesda Country Club, Bethesda, MD (12 miles away) for our 10:00AM tee time. We were met in the pro shop by Jim Folks, PGA Golf Professional, and Ted Pogorelc, the Assistant Professional. After some conversation, we were assigned a caddie, Versell “Butch” Cobb. Phil Hargis, a long time friend who lives in Virginia, joined us for our 21st round of golf.

The golf course is beautiful with many areas of wild flowers and is a gathering place for many species of birds and butterflies. We were told that the course is not up to its usual beauty and lush greens; however, we found it to be one of the best we’ve played so far. We also enjoyed having “Butch” for our caddie. He was very helpful, especially lining up putts, giving advice on club selection, and overall advice to all of us. Jim shot his best round today, an 81 (yardage 5885) and Pat shot 111 (yardage 5267).

We would like to thank Jim and Ted and their staff for their courtesy and hospitality, and for their generosity in inviting us to play as their guests, waiving the green and cart fees. It was greatly appreciated.
